A Burn Repair

Burn to arm
Very visible!
Successful repair
There is a pink haze on the successful repair - caused by the lighting
(not the finished area!)
Absorbed Grease Removal

Head Grease has been absorbed into this
aniline leather
After successful restoration the
original colour has been returned
Body grease is a major problem even on
tough pigmented finished leathers, and the absorption rate
accelerates dramatically on aniline leathers. Grease cannot be
cleaned off as it affects the entire thickness of the hide, and has to be extracted over the course of a few days.
Colour loss can occur during this period and so re-colouring will be
required. This certainly was the case for this green chair.
Re-Colouring Restoration
As you can see the original item here
suffered badly from dye transfer due to jeans, colour fade, scuffs
and scratches.
